Our why
We started in our kitchen, with a simple idea.
Wild N Rooted began with a mum's search for something simpler. I was tired of expensive skincare with no guarantee it would even suit my daughter's skin — I wanted something made with ingredients I understood, inspired by nature and accessible to everyday families.
That search led me to kawakawa. I learned about this incredible native plant and its place in Aotearoa, and started experimenting with kawakawa-infused oil at home. What began as something personal soon became something worth sharing.
And that's where Wild N Rooted NZ began.

Gathered with care
Kawakawa leaves are gathered in small amounts, with care and respect for the plant and its surroundings.
Slowly infused
The leaves are gently infused into avocado oil over time, creating our kawakawa-infused oil.
Blended & poured
The infused oil is combined with coconut oil, beeswax and vitamin E before each jar is poured by hand.
Finished & packed
Each jar is checked, labelled and packed by hand before it heads to its new home.

Kawakawa is a native plant of Aotearoa New Zealand that has a long history of traditional use. It has become a much-loved part of New Zealand's natural heritage and was a natural choice for our first product.
